These days who doesn’t play an online game whether it’s paid or free to play? Where each choice has its pros and cons like any other game.
Since I had access to a PC I’ve played some online games, some more, some less, but I’ve tried. Of course, some games I really liked and others I didn’t.
The list I’ve made below will give you a little idea of what I played, what made me play the game, and what made me stop playing.

Ark: Survival Evolve
- Why I started playing: I was curious to know how the world of this game is. I confess that I loved the survival system + crafting + Tame that the game provides.
- Why I stopped playing: The space the game takes up is absurd +300GB. Playing solo can get boring.
- Would I return to the game? Yes.
- Why I started playing: I really liked the detailed customization that the game has. I think the skill animations are cool.
- Why I stopped playing: The way the game’s story is told, for me is a little boring and doesn’t motivate me. These days I still don’t know what many items do. I still have some difficulty understanding the weapon and gear upgrade system. The game can be quite time consuming doing griding.
- Would I return to the game? Yes.
- Why I started playing: After I won a skin in a giveaway I installed the game and I confess that I really liked the game’s prologue.
- Why I stopped playing: Lack of motivation. Some friends warned me that the endgame of this game is a Pay-to-win.
- Would I return to the game? No.
- Why I started playing: After I won a bundle for the game, I installed the game to see how it was.
- Why I stopped playing: Lack of motivation. The game features out-date graphics for game days.
- Would I return to the game? No.
- Why I started playing: It’s a franchise that I love so far. I started playing with friends and then solo.
- Why I stopped playing: Lack of time, but also my PC doesn’t have the processing capacity for this game.
- Would I return to the game? Yes.
Final Fantasy XIV Online
- Why I started playing: Out of curiosity, but also because I really like the franchise and since they are offering the first expansion, in a trial they have, why not?
- Why I stopped playing: Lack of time and motivation. A subscription is required. The game is not full voiced.
- Would I return to the game? Yes.
Genshin Impact
- Why I started playing: Out of curiosity, after some denial in the past. Nowadays it’s my online game that I play most often.
- Why I stopped playing: —
- Why I started playing: Curiosity to know what happened 250 years ago.
- Why I stopped playing: Lack of time, there is a high learning line in playing solo with heroes, it is necessary to farm skills for the player’s builds and heroes.
- Would I return to the game? Yes.
Guild Wars 2
- Why I started playing: My first MMorpg I played and my favorite to date. I really like the story and events that happen in the game.
- Why I stopped playing: Lack of motivation. I’m waiting for LWS01 to come out all the way to do it. I don’t have the latest expansion for the game.
- Would I return to the game? Yes.
- Why I started playing: Out of curiosity, I think it has a good main story, which in addition has many things to do within the game, which is good.
- Why I stopped playing: Lack of time.
- Would I return to the game? Yes.
Lost Ark
- Why I started playing: Out of curiosity. Where at the time a lot of people said that this game was the next diablo.
- Why I stopped playing: Lack of time.
- Would I return to the game? Yes.
Neverwinter
- Why I started playing: I have a single player of this game to play and I was curious to try the online one.
- Why I stopped playing: Lack of time and motivation. Some friends warned me that some classes are blocked to which it is necessary to pay cash and end game of this game is a Pay-to-win.
- Would I return to the game? No.
Overwatch 2
- Why I started playing: When I tried the trial, I played with a friend of mine.
- Why I stopped playing: Lack of motivation.
- Would I return to the game? Yes.
Path of Exile
- Why I started playing: Out of curiosity, since this game features the diablo style where there was no diablo at the time.
- Why I stopped playing: Lack of time and motivation. The game has pay-to-win elements.
- Would I return to the game? Yes.
The Elder Scrolls Online
- Why I started playing: My friends invited me to try the game.
- Why I stopped playing: Lack of motivation.
- Would I return to the game? Yes.
Tom Clancy’s The Division 2
- Why I started playing: My friends invited me to try the game and later I play solo.
- Why I stopped playing: Lack of motivation.
- Would I return to the game? Yes.
Tower of Fantasy
- Why I started playing: Out of curiosity, I think it has a good main story, which in addition to it has many things to do within the game, which is good,

Many of the online games that I tried, many of them I stopped playing for lack of time but mainly for motivation. I think, at least for me, if I’m not motivated to play a certain game I don’t think it’s worth spending my free time on something I won’t have fun.
These days I’m playing Genshin Impact, Elder Scrolls: Online and Overwatch 2 and I confess that I’m having a lot of fun with these games.
