New Year New Things

Hello everyone, it’s been a while since I’ve been here, one of the reasons is that I started a new chapter in my life and it’s been taking some time, but I don’t stop playing in my free time.

Unfortunately, I didn’t finish the 2022 annual list of games, and one of the factors is because in recent years I’ve noticed that my mood to start new long single-players on PC has been a little off. I’m not saying that the game itself is bad because the titles to play in 2022 that I had in mind didn’t fall into that category, but what happens multiple times is to start playing a certain single-player with all the hype on the day and for the next day I lose the interest in continuing.

I think that at the moment I’m more focused on replaying or completing objectives in MMORPG’s or in games that I’ve played in the past, such as Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin, among others titles. I know I have some MMORPG’s that I started and then stopped, like Honkai Impact 3rd and Tower of Fantasy, not because they were bad but I just lost interest mainly and because I didn’t have time.

I also started to notice that there are certain factors in games such as exploration, gathering, pet system, housing (buy/build and decorate), collecting mounts (in MMORPG’s), completing objectives etc, these are things that I like to do in the game after completing the story without having to start over a save file to do so, as happens in some if not all single-players.

For example, in Diablo 3, players can create a character and immediately choose adventure mode if they don’t want to do the story or simply create a seasonal character with objectives to do what I’m currently doing and what I’m enjoying doing.

Another example in Dark Souls games, after completing the first run, the player can proceed to NG+ with all items picked up in the first run, this also happening in Final Fantasy X-2, which in my opinion is a cool feature. There are other titles like The Elder Scroll, after finishing the main story the player is free to choose what he wants to do in the game.

Another example for completing objectives in a single-play for me was in December, I took Pokémon Shield and completed my first Pokédex of the franchise, which I used the Pokémon Home application on my cell phone and console, where I want to thank the Pokémon community for helping me complete the Pokédex. I really enjoyed the experience.

Perhaps the other problem is not having time to invest in several MMORPG’s at the same time or in single players that have NG +. It’s true that I can make a schedule like I did in the past, but my mood changes from night to day, making it a bit difficult to predict what to play on that particular day. Maybe having the games I want to play in mind depending on the day, I choose one to play, without having a schedule for it. Because at the end of the day what matters is having fun with the game.

MMORPG’s in view:

  • Genshin Impact [Replay / Story / Gathering / Farm Primogens]
  • Guild Wars [Replay / Farm Gold / Farm Skills]
  • Guild Wars 2 [Replay / Story / Gathering / Farm Gold]
  • Lineage II: Aden [New]
  • Lost Ark [Replay / New Character / Story]
  • The Elder Scrolls Online [Story]
  • World of Warcraft [Replay / Free Account]

Single-play titles that I would like to try/complete:

  • Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin [Replay / Farm Achievements]
  • Divinity: Original Sin I [Replay]
  • Divinity: Original Sin II [New]
  • Elden Ring [Replay / Farm Achievements]
  • Neverwinter Nights: Enhanced Edition [New]
  • Heroes of Might & Magic Franchise [New]
  • Might & Magic Franchise [New]
  • Pokemon Brilliant Diamond [New]
  • Pokémon Legends Arceus [New]
  • Pokémon Violet [New]

I’m not currently playing any MMORPGs, actively, as I’m playing more new or replay single-players. But I’d like to play again even if it’s one MMORPG again.

Game to play this year

Nintendo Switch

01) Pokémon Legends: Arceus
02) Pokémon Brilliant Diamond
03) Persona 5 Royal
04) Pokémon Violet

PC

05) Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin
06) Divinity: Original Sin II – Definitive Edition
07) Elden Eing
08) Fallout 3: Game of the Year

For now these are the games I have in mind to play. If I complete the list later, I’ll see what my mood is to play.

New things on the site

On the website I created a new section called “CHALLENGES” which contains several games with challenges, one of which caught my attention the most was Nuzlocke. I became a fan of the Pokémon franchise from a very early age and I would like to play again the titles that I already completed in the past but with a challenge.

There is already a Nuzlocke page with the rules I saw on the internet and the games I have in my possession. I still don’t know when I will make my first Nuzlocke, but if I do, it will be with Pokémon that I have on Nintendo Switch using another account, where I will choose MY rules, to have fun.

Goals for this year

  • I would like to complete the first list of games I made this year,
  • I would like to make a Nuzlocke diary here on the site, when I start one,
  • I would like to be more active in Animal Crossing again and continue to update my adventures here on the site,
  • I would like to complete 100% of the game achievements I’ve passed.

What am I playing these days?

On PC

  • Genshi Impact: I completed the Ballads and Brews event and didn’t get Cyno on my main account unfortunately. I’ve been farming items to evolve my characters, weapons, talents and artifacts. But it’s been a while since I’ve played the game because of my mood.
  • Elder Scrolls Online: I completed the side quests and the map, now I’m doing the main story of the map. But it’s been a while since I’ve played the game because of my mood.
  • Overwatch 2: I’ve already reached level 55 to unlock Kumiko, but it’s been a while since I’ve been in the game, due to the rank system, which is bad.
  • Diablo 3: I completed the Core + DLC story, now I’m exploring the seasonal character a little bit where I’m doing some goals and grinding.
  • Divinity: Original Sin II – Definitive Edition: I started this game with the character Red Lizard. Since I still have a few hours left in the game, I still don’t have an opinion on the game.
  • Elden Ring: I’m now playing the game with a friend in co-op, but I have a goal of making 100% of the game’s achievements.
  • Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin: I have to organize the checklist of this game to be easier to know what I have and what I don’t have, for the 100% achievements.

On Nintendo Switch

  • Pokémon Legends Arceus: I’m in the phase of battling Volo, where I have to evolve my pokémons a bit and possibly get counters for Volo’s pokémons.
  • Pokémon Platinum: I started a new file of this game again, but I haven’t played it in a while.
  • Pokémon Brilliant Diamond: I’m on my way to my fifth crash. I have a way to complete the regional pokédex to unlock the national one, which I can possibly complete without too many problems.
  • Pokémon Violet: I already have my first crash and one of the upgrades to my legendary pokémon. I’ve been using a lot of surprise trades which have helped me complete some entries in the pokédex.
  • Persona 5 Royal: I recently started this game and of course it couldn’t be any different, what I was waiting for from a Persona game.

On PSP Vita

  • Final Fantasy II: I’m going to take a break from the game, since I’m going to have to start the game again, due to a mistake I made. In my opinion, I don’t think the game is bad but I don’t really like the evolution system that the game has.
