Topic Stream
It’s been a while since I’ve stream, one of the reasons is because I’m addicted to the soul’s-like genre and the other reason is that I’ve been having some problems with my streaming PC, which I hope to solve the problems as soon as possible.
So I’ve been taking the opportunity to analyze some things, like making my stream more appealing/attractive to the new audience that comes to visit my channel, since I’ve been playing some single-players for a few years now, which implies that the new audience might not be very interested in seeing it, which is understandable.
The other aspect is not having a regular schedule to stream, which makes it very difficult for new and current channel members to know when I will be live, despite having a Twitter where I announce when I will be live, but it’s not the same thing and makes any difference in having a regular schedule.
The conclusion I come to from this whole analysis, what would be better in my case would be to play something that may or may not have a story and that can be played at any time without depending on the day of the stream to do something, in the context of advancing in the match.
And what came to my mind was, why not play an MMORPG on PC. Bearing in mind that for Nintendo Switch I will stream Animal Crossing: New Horizon (Mainly) or Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town (I’ll see you soon).
Below I asked some questions regarding a possible to play a MMORPG on PC, where I gathered the information I thought was necessary, to reach a conclusion.
1) Which MMORPG’s (paid and free) do I have? And which option would I focus on?
Paid
- Black Desert Online
- Fallout 76
- Guild Wars: Complete Collection
- Guild Wars 2
- Elder Scrolls: Online
- Tom Clancy’s The Division
- Tom Clancy’s The Division 2
Free
- Blade & Soul
- Dungeons & Dragons Online
- Eldevin
- Elyon
- Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn – Free Account until the first expansion
- Lort Ark
- Neverwinter
- Path of Exile: War for the Atlas
- The Secret World: Legends
- World of Warcraft – Free Account until level 20
My attention would be more focused on paid MMORPGs since I spent money on them.
2) Which of the MMORPG(s) I have that I would like to invest my time in?
Fallout 76, Guild Wars: Complete Collection, Guild Wars 2 and Elder Scrolls: Online
3) What do I want to do in the long term in this or these MMORPGs?
- Fallout 76 – Complete story, 100% explore the world map, dailies, events, collect furniture, outfits.
- Guild Wars: Complete Collection – Complete campaigns, collect normal and elite skills and have 50 points in hall of moments, level up pre-Searing character.
- Guild Wars 2 – Complete story (alt characters), 100% explore the world map, maximize mastery points, make maximum achievements, collect miniatures, collect outfits, etc.
- Elder Scrolls: Online – Complete story (Main character), 100% explore the world map (Main character), make the most of finds, collect personalities, collect outfits, collect food and furniture, buy houses, do housing, etc.
4) Which MMORPGs I know minimally to stream with some at ease?
Guild Wars 2 and Elder Scroll: Online
5) What should I focus on in the MMORPG(‘s) I know in order to interest the stream?
- Guild Wars 2
- Learn the goals of maps that I haven’t spent much time on them,
- Make World Bosses, Dailies, Gathering, Crafting
- Complete Achievements, Missing Masteries (PvE)
- Collect miniatures, gold, outfits
- Elder Scroll: Online
- Completing Maps, Achievements
- Doing Side Quests, Main Story, Public Dungeons, Dailies
Where in the Guild Wars 2 would I work with my main character since she is the one who has all the maps complete except for one or two, where she would have more navigability around the world. In Elder Scroll: Online I would only work with my main character, since I still have a few chapters to complete with her.
6) What problems may arise? And what solutions could be found?
As with any streamer, I might get saturated with the genre and might “lose” my audience once they came to the game, in most cases.
However, in order not to stray too far from play a game that can be played at any time without depending on the day of the stream, I would play Overwatch, where I am here I assumed that some views would like to see competition games, but I am perfectly aware that trolls could come to chat or even views no longer appear because of the game, as is often the case with these types of changes.
On Overwatch, I don’t consider myself a pro, since I play for fun, where I like to play the support role.
I could even get to play Single-play but in my case it wouldn’t be the best option since there won’t be a recent games that have just come out.
To finish:
I think that Guild Wars 2 would be the right choice to make for my case, besides that it was my first MMORPG I played, and it’s been a while since I played it and I would like to go back, where I don’t have the last expansion yet, End of the Dragons (EoD).
However, I will leave some points that I find interesting about the game:
– Daily rewards are not lost, regardless of how long the player is away from the game. The game itself does not force the player to log in every day if he doesn’t want to.
– An MMORPG that gives you the possibility to redo the story at any time (from LWS2), either off-stream or on-stream without having to create a new character for that purpose,
– The gold to gems conversion system (on free account doesn’t work) without spending a single cent with real money is a great feature that they introduced in the game unlike the other MMORPGs that forces the player to spend money if they want something from the store,
– It has a vast collection of skins (both for the gear and for the weapons) to make the characters all beautiful, for those who like fashion.
I will leave a brief note here, I wanted to see if I could at least get two days to stream regardless of when it was, in which one day would be for PC > Guild Wars 2 and another for Nintendo Switch > Animal Crossing: New Horizons. As for the single-player games I’ve been playing like Dragon Age 2, I won’t continue.
Games Topic
As I mentioned at the beginning of the post, since the launch of Elden Ring I have been addicted to the soul’s-like genre, where I finished Lords of the Fallen and more recently Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition and Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin.
It is very likely that in the future I will do another playthrough of the games (Dark Souls 1 and 2) but with a hybrid build, like a battle mage.
I’m still not sure what I’m going to play next, but I plan on playing Nioh first and then Salt and Sanctuary.
On PC
- Blackguards: I haven’t played the game much lately because I’m addicted to the soul’s-like genre, but I gave up on the game since the RNG system for me doesn’t work, either I’m very lucky or not at all. I confess that I liked the story of the game, as far as I stopped with the game. Maybe pick up the game again in the near future.
- Among the Sleep: Enhanced Edition: Game finished.
- Lords of the Fallen: Game finished.
- Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition: Game finished.
- Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin: Game finished.
- Nioh: The new soul’s-like game I’m going to play.
- Diablo 3: My friend and I haven’t had a chance to play the game again yet, but I hope we can soon.
- Wasteland 3: Playing with a my friend.
- Dragon Age II: I’m already in the second act of the game, but I’ll stop playing since I’ll focus more on Guild Wars 2 in the stream.
Next game off Stream: GRIS and Salt and Sanctuary
On Nintendo Switch
- Animal Crossing: New Horizons: I’ve already moved the villagers’ houses to the beach and started to shape the island.
- Pokémon Shield: I finished the DLC’s, which concludes the game for now, where now I need to catch the pokémons of this version and try the Battle Tower, but in time.
- Mercenaries Saga: The new game I started most recently, where I’m now doing some character grinding.
Next game off Stream: Legrand Legacy or Pokémon Brilliant Diamond
On Nintendo 3DS
- Fantasy Life: I acquired the mining license, where I am developing the art, to then change to carpenter
Next game: Harvest Moon 3D: The Tale of Two Towns or Shin Megami Tensei IV
