A vast open world for the player to explore where the system of progression and the choices to be made in the game that will determine the course of the game doesn’t change at all in relation to the other volumes. I think the quest system needed to be improved a little bit as it can lead the player to get frustrated on certain quests.
In this DLC I think there is no save import from Gothic 3 as there are several endings and the progression made throughout the game (choices made, reputation, etc) is lost. The focus in this DLC is to establish peace in Myrtana where, as expected, there is an evil that has to be stopped because someone has to be the bad guy so that the player has reason to reach the end of the game, which in my opinion it was something they added just for content.
I don’t think the game is bad, I just think this DLC didn’t add anything new to the game.
