Talisman: Prologue is a single player version of Talisman: Digital Edition with some differences.
This game is another type of tutorial to which teaches the rules to the player, how to proceed and the different between the different characters. That’s why I do not recommend this game for players with any experience playing this game.
There are 16 characters in which 6 belong to the expansions, which the player can choose. Of the 10 characters each of them has 7 quest to do and each of them has its advantages, status and alliances.
In the board the player will find several cards throughout his mission, from Gold, Equipment, Events, Marketplaces, Monsters, Spirits and Followers.
As soon as the quest completes, the player will receive a score that can fill the 3 triangles or not depending on how long it takes. Depending on luck, the player may end up in a few shifts or not, which in my opinion I find stupid for there are quests that the player could finish in less than 10 turns and if luck is not on his side the turns may extend to 30 turns until completed. But apart from that the games are much faster than Talisman: Digital Edition.
Unlike Talisman Digital Edition here the player can not save the game during the quest, the problem is not the quick quest to do, but the Magic Quest is the longest, so you have to take the morning or afternoon so as not to miss the progress made.
The game can become a little boring after some time since there is no opponent to defeat.
The game options are the most basic. Beware of the game resolution option, because it seems the option does not detect the maximum resolution of the player’s monitor. If it exceeds the resolution the game broke and the player will have to go to the game folder and delete the settings to reset them.
I think the price is a bit exaggerated for a tutorial. So I suggest you buy a promotion.
I recommend this game to new players. And for those who already know what to do I suggest playing when they have nothing better to do.
